President Isaias Inaugurates Newly Rebuilt St. George Church In Adi-Keih

President Isaias inaugurated the newly rebuilt St. George church in Adi Keih which was destroyed due to the TPLF regime’s bombardment on 15 April 1999.

Adi-Keih, 1 May 2011- President Isaias inaugurated the newly rebuilt St. George church in Adi Keih which was destroyed due to the TPLF regime’s bombardment on 15 April 1999.

In a statement he made at the inauguration ceremony in the morning hours today, President Isaias congratulated the residents of Adi-Keih town and expressed appreciation to all those who strived for the reconstruction of the church.

The head of congregation in Adi-Keih, Father Kerlos on his part stated that the fact that the church is being inaugurated in the festive occasion of the 20th Anniversary of Independence lends further importance to the day and added that the remarkable building demonstrates that the builder is far stronger that the destroyer.  Father Kerlos went on to express appreciation to all those who contributed for the construction of the church and forwarded particular appreciation to President Isaias.

A number of government officials and nationals from different parts of the country participated in the inauguration ceremony of the church that was constructed at the cost of 15 million Nakfa.
