Afambo inhabitants express satisfaction with provision of social services

The inhabitants of Afambo administrative area, Southern Red Sea region, said that the provision of social services, including education, potable water supply and transport in the area has enabled them to lead better and stable life. Massawa, May 3, 2011 – The inhabitants of Afambo administrative area, Southern Red Sea region, said that the provision of social services, including education, potable water supply and transport in the area has enabled them to lead better and stable life.

The inhabitants indicated that previously they were compelled to travel for 8 hours on foot to fetch water that was not even up to standard, and that women and children used to be the prime victims of such hardship.
The inhabitants further pointed out that the expansion of social services has a vital role to play in the urbanization of the area in addition to expressing confidence to obtain more social services.
