Reports indicated that the necessary preparations have been finalized to stage the program in which veteran and young artists participate.
A member of the committee, artist Mohammed Osman told ERINA that over 220 songs in which artists from all the country’s administrative regions took part engaged in competition, out of which 45 best performances selected.
Artist Kahsai Gebrehiwet said on his part that utmost preparations are being made in collaboration with Chinese professionals to stage special calisthenics performance in which about 200 dancers participate.
The performances would be staged in various regions of the country and in different place of Asmara, including Cinema Roma, City Park, Bahtimeskerem Square and Liberation Avenue, as well as at Asmara Stadium during official celebration of the event.
The Independence Day celebrations featuring various programs would begin as of May 13 across the nation, according to the National Holidays Coordinating Committee.
