Independence celebrations to set off in Assab:Reports

Celebrations that are to mark the 20th anniversary of Eritrean Independence are to commence with a live broadcast from the port city of Assab on the 13th, according to National Holidays Coordinating Committee. Asmara, May 8, 2011- Celebrations that are to mark the 20th anniversary of Eritrean Independence are to commence with a live broadcast from the port city of Assab on the 13th, according to National Holidays Coordinating Committee.
According to the report, the schedules will include programs reflecting upon the essence of independence, harmony between people and Government of Eritrea; Challenges that have been overcome as well as Eritrean culture and community celebrations will be held within duration of 2 weeks.
Local Eritrean artists as well as nationals residing in the Diaspora are expected to partake in the celebrations.
