He told ERINA that vaccination coverage has reached 80%, and that community-based sanitation program, as well as ensuring pre-and post-delivery care is being enhanced.
The head of Hashishay health station, Mr. Woredezgi Yebio, said on his part that public awareness regarding the use of mosquito net and covering up mosquito breeding spots is gaining momentum as a result of continued campaigns and lectures.
Reports indicated that there exist 6 health institutions in the sub-zone, including a referral hospital that are providing effective medical service.
