Participants of the ongoing Independence Day celebrations said that the colorful programs being featured fully attest to the precious sacrifices the Eritrean people paid both for the achievement of independence and safeguarding of the nation’s sovereignty.

Asmara, 16 May 2011 – Participants of the ongoing Independence Day celebrations said that the colorful programs being featured fully attest to the precious sacrifices the Eritrean people paid both for the achievement of independence and safeguarding of the nation’s sovereignty.

They further explained that the celebrations being conducted in different parts of the country also symbolize the integrated rebuff waged by Eritrean nationals at home and abroad over the past 20 years.

The participants stated that the general public is celebrating the Independence Day with patriotic zeal as every member of the Eritrean family paid dear sacrifices for the achievement of independence and its safeguarding.
