“Independence Week” In Schools Finalized

“Independence Week” which was held from May 2 to 18 among various schools under the theme: “Perfect Harmony for National Dignity” has been finalized. Asmara, 20 May 2011 – “Independence Week” which was held from May 2 to 18 among various schools under the theme: “Perfect Harmony for National Dignity” has been finalized.

The event aimed at giving added color to the Independence Day celebrations was conducted in 239 schools in the Central region. Various programs, including exhibition, cultural and artistic shows, innovation and modification programs, fashion show and others featured in the course of the Week.

The event is essentially designed to properly familiarize students with the true meaning of independence and the hardship traversed to achieve it, and thus enable them to honor the trust of martyrs.

The participants of the Week on their part stressed the significance of independence and commended the available educational opportunities.
