Eritrean citizens in Jeddah and environs colorfully celebrate Independence Day

Eritrean nationals residing in Jeddah and its environs celebrated the 20th anniversary of Independence Day with enthusiasm. Asmara, 21 May 2011 – Eritrean nationals residing in Jeddah and its environs celebrated the 20th anniversary of Independence Day with enthusiasm.

In the celebrations that continued from May 15 to 19, various cultural and sport programs, as well as a show highlighting the lifestyle of Eritrean nationalities were presented on the part of the students of the Eritrean Community International School, NUEYS branch in Jeddah and YPFDJ.

In closing remarks, the Eritrean Consul General in Jeddah, Mr. Abdurahman Osman, indicated that Eritrea is already on a promising stage through overcoming all acts of hostility. He further stated that the active participation of the nationals in the celebrations constitutes frustration to enemy quarters.
