Carnival symbolizes the all-round development of the nation, Say observers

Members of the general public stated that the carnival staged by the administrative areas and institutions in the Central region amply demonstrates the all-round development of the nation and the creative, as well as innovative skill of fellow citizens.

Asmara, 23 May 2011 – Members of the general public stated that the carnival staged by the administrative areas and institutions in the Central region amply demonstrates the all-round development of the nation and the creative, as well as innovative skill of fellow citizens.

They highly appraised the eye-grabbing carnival, and that such innovative skill has a vital role to play in the nation-building process. The nationals further noted that it was very beautiful as every citizens made due contribution for its success. 

Sudanese national, Mr. Ahmed Behir who arrived here to participate in the celebrations, said on his part that he has never witnessed such colorful celebrations, and highly appraised the presentation and content of the event.

The carnival of the Central region staged from May 21 to 22 portrays the economic, social and cultural values of the people, as well as the accomplishments scored as regards development endeavors and integrated rebuff. A total of 13 administrative areas and 66 institutions took part in the carnival which was observed by tens of thousands of people.

It is also to be noted that the Southern, Gash-Barka, Anseba, Northern and Southern Red Sea regions staged similar carnivals on May 20.
