Eritrean citizens in Washington D.C. celebrating Independence Day

Eritrean citizens residing in Washington D.C. and its environs are enthusiastically celebrating Independence Day for 10 days beginning on May 20.
Asmara, 24 May 2011 – Eritrean citizens residing in Washington D.C. and its environs are enthusiastically celebrating Independence Day for 10 days beginning on May 20.

Programs highlighting the activities carried out by Eritrean women in Washington D.C and its environs over the past 20 years for the national cause, sports and cultural shows, as well as peace demonstration are being featured in the celebrations being held under the theme: “Perfect Harmony for National Dignity”.

Besides, seminars and programs concerning children and families are part of the celebrations, according to the preparatory committee.
