Messages of congratulations

Presidents Pratibha Devisingh Patil of India, Pal Schmitt of Hungary, Benigno Aquino III of  Philippines, Mahinda Rajapaksa of Sri Lanka, and King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand, as well as  the Director General of FAO, Mr. Jacques Diouf, and  the Chairman of the AU  Commission, Mr. Jean Ping, sent messages of congratulations to President Isaias Afwerki on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Independence Day. Asmara, 24 May 2011 – Presidents Pratibha Devisingh Patil of India, Pal Schmitt of Hungary, Benigno Aquino III of  Philippines, Mahinda Rajapaksa of Sri Lanka, and King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand, as well as  the Director General of FAO, Mr. Jacques Diouf, and  the Chairman of the AU  Commission, Mr. Jean Ping, sent messages of congratulations to President Isaias Afwerki on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Independence Day.

In their respective messages, the leaders and heads of international organizations wished good health to President Isaias, as well as peace and prosperity to the Eritrean people. 

Meanwhile, the Indian leader said that Eritrean-Indian relations which is based on mutual interests continues to be enhanced, and expressed conviction that it would be further strengthened in the years ahead.
