The inhabitants of Adi-Tekeleizan enthusiastically celebrated the 20th anniversary of Independence Day. They said that the anniversary is an event to renew their pledge to step up the national development drive. The inhabitants of 11 administrative areas of the sub-zone marked the Day in a patriotic spirit through setting up community tents.

The Administrator of Adi-Tekeleizan sub-zone, Mr. Kafal Mussa, noted the uniqueness of this year’s Independence Day celebrations as it was marked in the wake of the foiling of hostile conspiracies.

Cultural shows reflecting the atrocity of colonial powers and the Eritrean people’s resistance, as well as sports competitions were staged on the occasion.
