The inhabitants of Assab sub-zone celebrated Independence Day in community tents with patriotic zeal. Assab, 27 May 2011 – The inhabitants of Assab sub-zone celebrated Independence Day in community tents with patriotic zeal.

An arts exhibition portraying the 20-year journey of the nation was opened by the Commander of the Eastern Command, Maj. General Gerezgiher Andemariam. Various cultural shows and musical performance also featured in the celebrations.

The local inhabitants stressed the paramount significance of the event and expressed satisfaction with the programs that gave added color to the celebrations.

Likewise, the inhabitants of South Denkalia sub-zone colorfully celebrated the 20th anniversary of Independence Day in Abo administrative area. The Administrator of the sub-zone, Mr. Zerai Berhe, emphasized the need for exerting stepped-up endeavors so as to register still more gratifying accomplishments.
