Eritrean Citizens In Sudan Celebrate Independence Day With Patriotic Zeal

Eritrean nationals residing in Sudan celebrated the 20th anniversary of Independence Day in a colorful manner. The head of Public Affairs in the Eritrean Embassy, Mr. Ismael Mussa, outlined the utmost preparations made by members of the Community to the colorful celebrations.

Asmara, 30 May 2011 – Eritrean nationals residing in Sudan celebrated the 20th anniversary of Independence Day in a colorful manner. The head of Public Affairs in the Eritrean Embassy, Mr. Ismael Mussa, outlined the utmost preparations made by members of the Community to the colorful celebrations.

Tens of thousands of Eritrean nationals and Sudanese friends of Eritrea participated in the celebrations that were held in the towns of Khartoum, Port Sudan, Kassala and Gedarif, according to reports.

The participants of the celebrations lauded the nation’s development achievements over the past 20 years through overcoming multifaceted enemy hostilities. They further commended the role being played by the Eritrean media outlets in highlighting the implementation of programs, inculcating the spirit of nationalism and strengthening national unity.
