Eritrean citizens living in different parts of the world, including Africa, Asia, Europe and America celebrated the 20th anniversary of Independence Day in patriotic spirit.
Asmara, 30 May 2011 – Eritrean citizens living in different parts of the world, including Africa, Asia, Europe and America celebrated the 20th anniversary of Independence Day in patriotic spirit.
Accordingly, the Eritrean Community in Zambia held three-day celebrations in which fashion shows, cultural and sports programs featured. Reports indicated that Zambian media outlets gave extensive coverage to the celebrations.
Meanwhile, Eritreans in Turkey celebrated the great Day through organizing colorful celebrations, during which they expressed pride and satisfaction with the development accomplishments.
Likewise, Eritrean nationals living in San Jose and its environs, California, celebrated the event with great enthusiasm and presented programs portraying the major political, economic, social and cultural accomplishments. Youths who graduated from college this year also received certificates on the occasion.
Similarly, Eritreans in the US cities of Denver, Dallas and Fort Worth celebrated the 20th anniversary of Independence Day with the same patriotic spirit.
