Massawa, May 31, 2011- Effective work has been accomplished over the past 20 years in alleviating shortage of residential housing complexes in the Northern Red Sea region, according to the branch head of the Ministry of Land, Water and Environment in the region, Mr. Tsehaye Siele.
Reports indicate that over 10,000 land plots have been distributed in the sub-zones of Nakfa, Afabet, Q’rora, She’ib, Ginda as well as Massawa and that over 4,000 patches of land have been distributed in Gien’eb, Gedged, Hirgigo and Hitumlo to demobilized citizens.
Meanwhile, land has been allotted to nationals in the sub-zones of She’ib, Ginda, Nakfa, Forro, Q’rora and Massawa for use with commercial prospects and 75% of the previously existing difficulties were tackled.
