High-Level Qatari Sports Delegation Arrives Here
A high-level Qatari Sports delegation headed by the Secretary General of the Qatari Olympic Committee, Sheik Seud Bin Abdurahman Al-Thani, arrived here in the capital on a working visit.
Asmara, 1 June 2011 – A high-level Qatari Sports delegation headed by the Secretary General of the Qatari Olympic Committee, Sheik Seud Bin Abdurahman Al-Thani, arrived here in the capital on a working visit.
Sheik Seud Bin Abdurahman Al-Thani told media outlets that the visit is aimed at enhancing the growing relations between the two countries and fostering cooperation of partnership.
He further stated that as a token of the existing relations of partnership between the two sisterly countries, the Qatari Army soccer team has arrived in Asmara to conduct a friendship match with the Eritrean Red Sea soccer team. Sheik Seud Bin Abdurahman Al-Thani stressed its significance in promoting tourism and economic activities, as well as exchanging experience in sports.
On arrival at Asmara International Airport, the high-level Qatari Sports delegation was accorded warm welcome by members of the sport community, including the Minister of Public Works, Mr. Abraha Asfaha, and the Eritrean Sports Commissioner, Maj. General Romodan Osman Awuliyay.
