Major development projects have been implemented in Adi-Keih sub-zone which are playing vital role in improving the living standard of the inhabitants, stated Mr. Mohammed Humed, Administrator of the sub-zone.
Adi-Keih, 2 June 2011 – Major development projects have been implemented in Adi-Keih sub-zone which are playing vital role in improving the living standard of the inhabitants, stated Mr. Mohammed Humed, Administrator of the sub-zone.
He pointed out that the sub-zone previously lacked service-rendering facilities, but at present health, schools, potable water supply and transport service have been made available.
Moreover, Mr. Mohammed indicated that the expansion of educational opportunities in the sub-zone has made great contribution in upgrading the number of school attendance. He added that 12 micro-dams and 22 ponds have been constructed, and as a result 70% of the inhabitants have now got access to potable water supply.
The Administrator further explained that the construction of the strategic Kohaito-Foro road which connects the Northern Red Sea and Southern regions, especially the eastern escarpment has relieved the general public from transport problem that prevailed in the past.
