Teaching-Learning Process Gaining Momentum In Kirora Sub-Zone

The opening of junior school in Kirora sub-zone along with the provision of computer application course has enabled students to pursue better educational opportunities, stated Mr. Abubeker Ali, director of the school. Kirora, 3 June 2011 – The opening of junior school in Kirora sub-zone along with the provision of computer application course has enabled students to pursue better educational opportunities, stated Mr. Abubeker Ali, director of the school.

He explained that solar power, computers, laboratory and library have been introduced so as to facilitate the teaching-learning process. As a result, the local inhabitants who used to lead nomadic way of life are now increasingly participating in education, especially females, Mr. Abubeker added.

Reports indicated that in line with the Government’s commitment to expand educational opportunity to all, mobile schools have been set up in Arag, Halibet and Shakat administrative areas, in addition to the construction of schools in Arat, Karora, Rihib and Emahmime.
