Adi-Guaedad Artificial Limb Plant Helping The Disabled Become Productive

The Adi-Guaedad Artificial Limb Plant is striving to enable disabled nationals become productive and self-supporting through producing man-made limb, wheelchair and crutches, among others, stated Mr. Tsegai Samuel, director of the Plant.
Adi-Guaedad, 6 June 2011 – The Adi-Guaedad Artificial Limb Plant is striving to enable disabled nationals become productive and self-supporting through producing man-made limb, wheelchair and crutches, among others, stated Mr. Tsegai Samuel, director of the Plant.

He noted that the Plant is producing solid and flexible artificial limb, different types of crutches and other facilities to help nationals with limb disability, spinal cord disorder and polio.

Mr. Tsegai further explained that it has opened additional branch offices in Anseba and Southern Red Sea regions, and is accommodating about 40 beneficiaries monthly. The majority of the facilities are produced on the basis of internal capacity,  he added.

Mr. Mebrahtu Tekle, a technician in the Plant, said on his part that the products are providing moral boost to the disabled persons who initially came to the Plant with frustration as a result of disability.

The beneficiaries expressed satisfaction with the products that are enabling them to become productive.
