Inhabitants of Omhajer and Kachero administrative areas making due contribution in facilitating Bademit Dam construction’s

The inhabitants of Omhajer and Kachero administrative areas are making due contribution in facilitating the construction of Bademit Dam in collaboration with EDF members, stated Mr. Hadish Fitsum, head of the project in Bidho Construction Company.  Golij, 9 June 2011 – The inhabitants of Omhajer and Kachero administrative areas are making due contribution in facilitating the construction of Bademit Dam in collaboration with EDF members, stated Mr. Hadish Fitsum, head of the project in Bidho Construction Company. 

He said that the construction process of the dam commenced in November 2010 and is expected to hold 32 million cubic meters of water.

The Administrator of Omhajer, Mr. Shimendi Woldegergis, on his part explained that the local inhabitants are engaged in continuous soil and water conservation activities, and that about 10,000 nationals took part in a similar task last month.
