The collection of the remains of gallant heroes who sacrificed their lives in Nakfa Front during the armed struggle for liberation is being undertaken smoothly. The task underway along the 80 Km.-long Front stretching from Sewar to Menda’at is aimed at laying the remains in their eternal resting places.
Nacfa, 11 June 2011 – The collection of skeletons of gallant heroes who sacrificed their previous lives in Nacfa Front during the armed struggle for liberation is being undertaken smoothly. The task underway along the 80 Km.-long Front stretching from Sewar to Menda’at is aimed at laying the skeletons of the martyrs in their eternal site of honor.
The Acting head of Nacfa sub-zone, Mr. Desie Zeremichael, said that the skeleton collection task was launched after undertaking the necessary study on the part of the newly elected 6 committees comprising public and government employees.
Those participating in the task explained that engaging in such activities provides one moral satisfaction and deep pride, as doing so shoulders one with heavy responsibility of fulfilling the trust of martyrs.
Reports indicated that the process of collecting the skeletons of martyrs would continue and that such skeleton would be laid in their honorable site with high respect on June 20.
This year’s Martyrs Day would be commemorated in Nacfa at the national level in which the majority of Eritrean martyrs sacrificed their dear lives.
Nacfa and its environs witnessed Eritrean resilience in which bitter struggle was carried out for about 10 years and one that ascertained the inevitable victory of the armed struggle.
