Owners of enterprises in Hagaz make financial donation to martyrs’ families

In connection with Independence Day celebrations, owners of various enterprises in Hagaz town donated 270,000 Nakfa in assistance to families of martyrs. Nacfa, 11 June 2011 – In connection with Independence Day celebrations, owners of various enterprises in Hagaz town donated 270,000 Nakfa in assistance to families of martyrs.

Accordingly, a total of 45 martyrs’ families received 6,000 Nakfa each, and that the initiative would continue in the future. The initiative also served as a starting point for nationals with capital to assume the responsibility of supporting martyrs’ families through contributing 500 Nakfa monthly, according to reports.

The Administrator of the town, Mr. Idris Hamid Mohammed, lauded the genuine move and called on other to emulate the initiative.

The director general of social service in Anseba region, Ms. Zeineb Omar, said on her part that the Government is doing its level best in assisting families of fallen heroes and called on Eritrean citizens at home and abroad to enhance contribution in this regard.

Likewise, the head of the Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare branch in the region, Mr. Girmai Bokretsion, explained that assisting families of martyrs is a supreme duty that provides moral satisfaction.

The beneficiary families expressed satisfaction with the continued assistance and care being provided to them on the part of the Government and compatriots inside the country and abroad.
