They expressed eternal glory to all the martyrs who sacrificed their precious lives for independence and safeguarding the nation’s sovereignty. The residents stated that the collection of skeletons of martyrs has given them moral satisfaction, besides conveying deep meaning.
Meanwhile, nationals from different administrative regions are arriving in Nacfa after traveling long distance on foot in connection with Martyrs Day.
Meseret Kidane who arrived in Nacfa from Mendefera crossing Omhajer, Agordat, Keren and Afabet stated that he would continue to travel on foot in memory of martyrs.
Moreover, Leul Goitom from Omhajer arrived in Nacfa after crossing Keren, Asmara, Massawa, She’ib and Afabet. A number of nationals traveling from various parts of Central and Northern Red Sea regions are expected to arrive in Nacfa on June 19, according to reports.
