Judges of community magistrates in Anseba region highlighted the significance of training courses and lectures in upgrading work performance. Keren, 17 June 2011 – Judges of community magistrates in Anseba region highlighted the significance of training courses and lectures in upgrading work performance. This was disclosed at a training course given to magistrate judges in Keren town.
The participants of the training stressed the significance of the endeavors being made by the Government to enable members of the public settle disputes without wasting unnecessary energy, time and money. They further explained that the setting up of community magistrate is playing vital role in settling disputes on time and with ease.
The head of administration and finance at the NUEW branch in Anseba region, Ms. Yihdega Yohannes, indicated on her part that the Union, in collaboration with partners, is working diligently to raise women’s awareness regarding law, besides combating harmful practices.
Reports indicated that there are 45 community magistrates in 11 sub-zones of Anseba region, in addition to 135 judges.
