The inhabitants of Tessenei sub-zone voiced determination to assist families of fallen heroes in an organized and enhanced manner.

Tessenei, 18 June 2011 – The inhabitants of Tessenei sub-zone voiced determination to assist families of fallen heroes in an organized and enhanced manner.

The nationals stated that the stable lifestyle they are now enjoying is the outcome of the heavy sacrifices paid, and that every citizen is duty-bound to extend a helping hand to families of martyrs.

The benevolent citizens further explained that demonstrating mutual care and co-existence in harmony are some of the cherished values of the Eritrean society, and that the continued donations and assistance being extended by Eritrean nationals at home and abroad fully attest to this fact.

They went on to say that they have already built warm relations with the respective families of martyrs they are supporting, and that such scared initiatives would be further enhanced.

Reports indicated that in accordance with the initiatives launched in 2007 to assist families of fallen heroes, the inhabitants of Tessenei sub-zone contributed about 6 million Nakfa that was channeled for the rehabilitation of 549 martyrs’ families through livestock, shop, restaurant and sewing machine, among others.
