Weki-Duba, 18 June 2011- The inhabitants of Weki-Duba expressed satisfaction for witnessing the promising prospects of prosperity that compensates the hardship and heavy sacrifices of the Eritrean people.
Inhabitants of the area who narrowly survived from the acts of genocide committed by the Ethiopian colonial forces in 1975 and 1976 said that the extensive plains in the locality which used to serve as a killing site has now been transformed into center of development programs.
They further recalled the vicious criminal acts of the colonial forces in ruthlessly killing innocent civilians and burning down villages. In this connection, the inhabitants urged the youth to get fully acquainted with the history of the nation and honor the trust of martyrs.
