Prevailing peace and stability the reward of heavy sacrifices: Inhabitants of Emberemi

The inhabitants of Emberemi said that the prevailing peace and stability they are enjoying is the reward of the heavy sacrifices paid.

Emberemi, 18 June 2011- The inhabitants of Emberemi said that the prevailing peace and stability they are enjoying is the reward of the heavy sacrificed paid.

They recalled the inhumane atrocities committed against the Eritrean people in general and the inhabitants of the area in particular through tanks and machine guns. They further explained that although such vicious criminal acts claimed the lives of many innocent civilians, it nonetheless provided added strength to the steadfastness of the people.

The inhabitants further stated that unlike other peoples in the world, the Eritrean people managed to achieve independence through paying heavy sacrifices. In this connection, they lauded the sacred initiatives being taken by Eritrean citizens at home and abroad in supporting families of martyrs.

The expansion of equitable social service in all parts of the country is vivid demonstration of the Government’s commitment to honor the trust of martyrs, they added.
