More financial assistance to martyrs’ families in Anseba region

In line with the initiatives taken to support families of fallen heroes, Eritrean citizens living in various countries donated about 9 million Nakfa and was subsequently extended to pertinent martyrs’ families in Anseba region.
Keren, 25 June 2011 – In line with the initiatives taken to support families of fallen heroes, Eritrean citizens living in various countries donated about 9 million Nakfa and was subsequently extended to pertinent martyrs’ families in Anseba region.

The head of the Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare branch in the region, Mr. Girmai Bokretsion, stated that every national has the obligation of assisting families of martyrs. He explained that a total of 1,400,000 Nakfa was sent this year by the benevolent nationals that was paid to 196 martyrs’ families in the region.

The benefiting families of martyrs expressed appreciation with the continued support on the part of the people and the Government. Expressing pride over martyrdom of their beloved ones, they stressed the significance of the assistance in improving their living standard.
