A total of 279 students, out of whom 168 are females, graduated in certificate yesterday from the Asmara Commercial College upon completion of 2 year-long course on Book-keeping, Secretarial Science and Material Management.
Asmara, 26 June 26, 2011 – A total of 279 students, out of whom 168 are females, graduated in certificate yesterday from the Asmara Commercial College upon completion of 2 year-long course on Book-keeping, Secretarial Science and Material Management.
Speaking at the graduation ceremony held at Cinema Odeon in which government officials, parents and invited guests took part, Mr. Kebedom Tedla, director of the school, pointed out that the Government is making substantial investment towards the development of the education sector with a view to ensuring economic emancipation. He further stressed the paramount importance of learning coupled with practical work.
On his part, the director of technical and vocational education at the Ministry of Education, Mr. Tesfay Sium expressed conviction that the graduates in their respective fields would make due contribution in tackling the shortcomings encountered in the task of the nation-building process.
A representative of the graduates expressed appreciation for the opportunities created for them and asserted that they would fulfill what is expected of them.
