Keren, June 26, 2011- The village-level grouping in Quar’obel has created conducive grounds for the educational process in the area, according to the Assistant Principal of the Quar’obel Elementary and Junior School, Mr. Mahmud Mohammed Idris.
Speaking to Erina, Mr. Mahmud said that students used to travel up to 4 hours to go school, but thanks to the village grouping the students can pursue their studies outside their homes.
On his part, Mr. Mohammed Idris Saleh, member of the school’s PTA association pointed out that the village level grouping has started to bear positive fruits especially in the educational process.
The Administrator of Quar’obel, Mr. Hamid Amir said that thanks to the educational amenities laid and the increased access to potable water supply the grouping has been accelerated and that efforts are underway to help students who have started their schooling late.
Over 1,000 families inhabit Quar’obel, one of the eight administrative areas of Habero sub-zone.
