Student participation in education is showing commendable growth in Adobha sub-zone, according to Mr. Mohammed Idris, head of the Education Ministry’s branch in the sub-zone. Adobha, 27 June 2011 – Student participation in education is showing commendable growth in Adobha sub-zone, according to Mr. Mohammed Idris, head of the Education Ministry’s branch in the sub-zone.
He explained that previously, teaching-learning process in the area did not progress as desired in view of the fact that the inhabitants of the area lead nomadic way of life. However, thanks to the construction of modern school, the inhabitants began to regroup in the area, which in turn gave rise to encouraging participation of students in education, Mr. Idris stated.
Reports indicated that there exist 4 elementary and a junior school, as well as a kindergarten that are providing educational opportunity in the sub-zone. Besides, additional schools have been built in Ararib and Haseta.
Mr. Idris pointed out that Adult Education Program is gaining momentum from year to year, and that still more concerted action need to be taken to regroup the remaining scattered villages.
