Adult Education Program Gaining Momentum In Northern Red Sea Region

Participation of nationals in Adult Education Program in the Northern Red Sea region has registered a growth of 99%.
Massawa, 29 June 2011 – Participation of nationals in Adult Education Program in the Northern Red Sea region has registered a growth of 99%.

In a paper they presented at an assessment meeting in Massawa on June 27, the head of the program in the Education Ministry’s branch in the region, Mr. Mohammed Osman Saedin, and Mr. Girmai Tekle, expert in statistics, indicated that the number of teaching stations has increased by about 162% over the past 10 years, and the number of teachers has grown by 141%.

Likewise, the director general of Adult Education Program and media in the Ministry, Mr. Gebrezgi Dimam, noted the significance of study paper in expanding the program in the remaining parts of the country, besides mapping out clear action plan. To this end, Mr. Gebrezgi highlighted the need for exerting still more endeavors towards regrouping scattered villages in one community.
