President Isaias leaves for Qatar on working visit

President Isaias Afwerki today left for Qatar on a working visit.

Asmara, 30 June 2011 – President Isaias Afwerki today left for Qatar on a working visit.

On arrival at Doha International Airport, the President was welcomed by Sheik Hamed Bin Khalifa Al-Thaini, Emir of Qatar, and other government officials.

In a meeting the two leaders conducted, they held discussion on developing and strengthening bilateral relations, as well as regional and international issues of mutual interest.

Following the meeting, Sheik Hamed Bin Khalifa Al-Thaini hosted lunch reception in honor of President Isaias.
