Utmost preparations are underway in Tessenei-Aligidir Agricultural Project so as to boost agricultural production, according to Mr. Yemane Gebretinsae, manager of the project. He stated that vigorous endeavors are being made to divert Gash River waters for promoting cultivation on about 3,500 hectares. Tessenei, 2 July 2011 – Utmost preparations are underway in Tessenei-Aligidir Agricultural Project so as to boost agricultural production, according to Mr. Yemane Gebretinsae, manager of the project. He stated that vigorous endeavors are being made to divert Gash River waters for promoting cultivation on about 3,500 hectares.
Mr. Yemane further indicated that the project would benefit about 6,000 families, and that the project yields better production as it is endowed with rich water resource. In this connection, he called on nationals who seized the opportunity to cultivate in the project to exert strenuous efforts so that they may obtain bumper harvest.
