734 students graduate from Asmara Teachers Education Institute

A total of 734 students graduated today from Asmara Teachers Education Institute upon completion of a certificate course. Asmara, 3 July 2011 – A total of 734 students graduated today from Asmara Teachers Education Institute upon completion of a certificate course.

Speaking at the graduation ceremony, the director of the Institute, Mr. Alem Gebrekal, noted that the students pursued various courses, including ethics of the teaching profession.

Likewise, the director of human resource development and research in the Education Ministry, Mr. Petros Hailemariam, indicated that the Government is making substantial investment towards the development of the education sector. He also called on the graduates to strive in deepening their knowledge.

Asmara Teachers Education Institute is graduating for the 17th time in the post-independence period.
