Vigorous efforts are being made to enhance community-based child health care in remote areas of Anseba region, the Health Ministry’s branch in the region disclosed. To this end, various training courses and lectures are being offered to volunteer employees of the community-based program.
Keren, 4 July 2011 – Vigorous efforts are being made to enhance community-based child health care in remote areas of Anseba region, the Health Ministry’s branch in the region disclosed. To this end, various training courses and lectures are being offered to volunteer employees of the community-based program.
In a training given in Keren town to 78 volunteer employees from the sub-zones of Asmat, Halhal, Habero, Geleb, Elabered, Hamelmalo, Keren and Hagaz, they reiterated readiness to work diligently in ensuring child care. They also highlighted the significance of the training in familiarizing them with symptoms of diseases in children and ways of treating them.
Reports indicated that there are more than 190 volunteer employees of community-based health program in Anseba region serving in 36 health institutions in 11 sub-zones.
