A total of 176 students, out of whom 55 are females graduated from Wina Technical School yesterday upon completion of a 2-year long diploma course.
Nacfa, 5 July 2011 – A total of 176 students, out of whom 55 are females graduated from Wina Technical School yesterday upon completion of a 2-year long diploma course.
Speaking at the graduation ceremony, the director general of technical and vocational training in the Education Ministry, Mr. Tesfai Sium, indicated that the Government is making substantial investment to build human capacity, and called on the graduates to play due role in the national development drive.
The director of the School, Mr. Kaliab Zeru, said on his part that this year’s graduation is quite special as it is being held at a time when Wina Technical School is marking its Silver Jubilee. He further explained that the graduates attended courses in Auto-mechanics, Metal Works, Electricity, Wood Works, General Metals, Building Construction, Drafting and Survey.
A representative of the graduating batch voiced commitment that they would live up to the nation’s expectations.
Wina Technical School which opened in 1985 has so far graduated a total of 1,634 students in diploma and certificate.
