Wina Technical School celebrates Silver Jubilee

Wina Technical School yesterday celebrated its 25th anniversary in the presence of government officials, invited guests and residents of Nacfa town.
Nacfa, 5 July 2011 – Wina Technical School yesterday celebrated its 25th anniversary in the presence of government officials, invited guests and residents of Nacfa town.

In the celebrations held in the town, the director general of technical and vocational training in the Ministry of Education, Mr. Tesfai Sium, stated that the opening of the technical school fully attests to the clear vision and investment for the future.

Likewise, the Minister of Education, Mr. Semere Russom, explained that it is a historical school that continues to play major role in nurturing competent manpower in the nation-building process. Thousands of youths who graduated from the school and other technical schools, as well as agriculture and business colleges opened after independence are making effective contribution in national reconstruction endeavors.

Also as part of the celebrations, students who graduated from the Wina  Technical School and teachers who have been serving in it right from the beginning planted trees of martyrs within the premises of the school.

A pictorial exhibition portraying the activities carried out in the school from 1985-2011 and teaching equipments was also staged on the occasion. The Minister of Public Works, Mr. Abraha Asfaha, opened the exhibition.
