Mothers in Kerkebet sub-zone are making commendable pre-and post-delivery medical checkups according to ERINA report. Kerkebet, 6 July 2011 – Mothers in Kerkebet sub-zone are making commendable pre-and post-delivery medical checkups according to ERINA report.
Lauding the Government’s endeavors to improve the people’s standard of living, the mothers stated that they have become beneficiaries of basic social services.
The head of the health station in Kerkebet, Mr. Tesfazgi Yohannes, said on his part that there exist health stations in the administrative areas of Himbol, Kechecha and Lokaib. He further indicated that the awareness of the local inhabitants as regards to the advantages of health service is on raise.
Mr. Tesfazgi also explained that the number of mothers resorting to medical checkups has registered 88% growth and that of children by 37%.
