Efforts To Eradicate Malaria In Forto-Sawa Sub-Zone Register Encouraging Outcome

The sanitation campaign undertaken through the concerted effort of health personnel and the local inhabitants towards eradicating malaria in Forto-Sawa sub-zone registered encouraging outcome, according to reports. Forto-Sawa, 7 July 2011 – The sanitation campaign undertaken through the concerted effort of health personnel and the local inhabitants towards eradicating malaria in Forto-Sawa sub-zone registered encouraging outcome, according to reports.

The head of public health care in the sub-zone, Mr. Medhane Gebretinsae, pointed out that about 15,000 mosquito nets have been distributed to the inhabitants, in addition to spraying anti-mosquito drugs in 18 villages.
The Administrator of Forto-Sawa, Mr. Mohamed Osman, said that the campaign and training being offered by the Ministry of Health are playing significant role in raising the awareness of public.  
Mr. Shingrai Ali, one of the inhabitants, said on his part that death rate related to malaria is dropping.
