275 graduate from Asmara College of Health Science in degree and diploma

A total of 275 students graduated today from the Asmara College of Health Science in degree and diploma.

Asmara, 9 July 2011 – A total of 275 students graduated today from the Asmara College of Health Science in degree and diploma. The students have been pursuing studies in dentistry, technology laboratory, medicine, x-ray, nursing, anesthesia, pharmacy and the like.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister of Health, Ms. Amna Nurhusien, explained  that the Government is striving to develop human capacity so as to ensure social justice and economic progress . In this respect, she said that a number of medical schools have been opened.

Ms. Amna called on the graduates to exert relentless efforts towards upgrading the knowledge they have already acquired and discharge their duties diligently.

The Dean of the College, Dr. Azieb Ogabagebriel, on her part congratulated the graduating batch, and pointed out that the college is currently providing training in six fields of study. She further indicated that a total of 843 students are presently pursuing studies in degree program and 687 others in diploma, out of whom 30% are females.
