Ministry Makes Extensive Preparations To Prevent Malaria Prevalence In Golij Sub-Zone

The branch office of the Ministry of Health in Golij sub-zone is engaged in extensive activities to prevent the prevalence of malaria. Golij, 11 July 2011 – The branch office of the Ministry of Health in Golij sub-zone is engaged in extensive activities to prevent the prevalence of malaria. The head of malaria control unit, Mr.  Arefaine Menan, said that campaigns are being conducted to enhance public awareness, in addition to distributing mosquito nets and other control devices. He also stressed the need to keep intact the registered achievements and strive for more gratifying outcome.

Mr. Gebremeskel Gebrekirstos, one of the inhabitants of the sub-zone, stated that malaria infection has declined significantly as a result of the vigorous endeavors made on the part of the Government and the public at large.
