Newly Constructed Micro-Dam In Rokoita Administrative Area Plays Major Role In Alleviating Problem Of Potable Water Supply

The newly constructed micro-dam in Rokoita administrative area, Senafe sub-zone, is playing major role in alleviating the problem of potable water supply in eight villages, stated the local inhabitants. Rokoito, 11 July 2011 – The newly constructed micro-dam in Rokoita administrative area, Senafe sub-zone, is playing major role in alleviating the problem of potable water supply in eight villages, stated the local inhabitants.
The manager of the administration of Rokoita, Mr. Tsigab Berhe, said that the inhabitants used to travel long distance to fetch water that was not event up to standard. He added that the local inhabitants have taken active participation in construction of the micro-dam.

The Area administrator, Mr. Dini Omar, indicated that it is serving over 5,000 inhabitants and that efforts are underway to promote farming activities below the micro-dam
