Agriculture Ministry Offers Training To 35 Staff Members

The Ministry of Agriculture offered training to 35 staff members focusing on forest and wildlife inspection. Asmara, 13 July 2011 – The Ministry of Agriculture offered training to 35 staff members focusing on forest and wildlife inspection.

The training includes historical background of forest and wildlife resources in the country, the establishment of land reserve, utilization of forest resources and assignment of forest inspection personnel, among others.
Speaking at the graduation ceremony the director of rules and regulation unit in the Ministry, Mr. Tekleab Misgina, noted that various development programs are underway towards promoting economic development.  He further indicated that in addition to economic benefits, forests play major role in preserving sound ecology.

The director of forestation and wildlife conservations, Lt. Colonel Gebergergis  Sium, said on his part that the training would make positive contribution in strengthening operational capacity regarding forest and wildlife conservation.
