The assistance being extended to disabled citizens for becoming self-supporting in Keren town is bearing fruitful outcome, stated Mr. Dawit Gebrekirstos, head of the branch office of the Eritrean National War-disabled Veterans Association.

Keren, 14 July 2011 – The assistance being extended to disabled citizens for becoming self-supporting in Keren town is bearing fruitful outcome, stated Mr. Dawit Gebrekirstos, head of the branch office of the Eritrean National War-disabled Veterans Association.

He said that the regional Anseba Administration has created conducive ground for 23 war-disabled veterans to improve their living standard through various business ventures including hotels, shops and vegetation market. Mr. Dawit indicated that the Association itself has extended 1.2 million Nakfa interest-free loan to this same end.

The disabled nationals expressed appreciation for the support, and said that they would strive to improve their living standard.
