Sawa – Vocation Training Center Graduates Over 2000 Students

The Vocational Training Center in Sawa graduated today 2,435 students of whom 1,018 are females following extensive training in various vocational skills. President Isaias Afwerki, Ministers, Army Commanders, Administrators, and heads of various fronts presided at the graduation ceremony.
Sawa, July 17 2011 -The Vocational Training Center in Sawa graduated today 2,435 students of whom 1,018 are females following extensive training in various vocational skills. President Isaias Afwerki, Ministers, Army Commanders, Administrators, and heads of various fronts presided at the graduation ceremony.

Expressing congratulations to the graduating students, parents and teachers, President Isaias said in a speech at the graduation ceremony that “Education and Knowledge are boundless; therefore students should not only augment their acquired skills, but also work towards improving their talent and ingenuity.”

“It is not that the journey for knowledge is arduous or otherwise, but that the experience one acquires and gains at work that makes the difference”, President Isaias underlined and further expressed his confidence that the students will put to good use what they have acquired from their training. 

Noting that the mission of the Vocational Training Center is to produce skilled youth ready to be integrated at work, Lieutenant Colonel Zer’e Ghebreselasie representing the center said during the event that that this year saw the graduation of students in 21 vocational disciplines and that the graduates performed excellence in their respective fields owing to the unremitting efforts exerted by the center.

Representative of the graduates pointed out that the event marks a special day that shoulders them the responsibilities they carry in nation building and reminded the graduates that the graduation is only the beginning and not the end in their pursue of knowledge at their respective carriers.

President Isaias and ministers handed certificates to the graduates.
