Majority of inhabitants of Adi-Tekelezan obtain potable water supply

In line with the Government’s endeavors to expand equitable social services, the majority of the inhabitants of Adi-Tekelezan sub-zone are in a position of obtaining potable water supply, stated Mr. Teklehaimanot Musael, head of administration and finance in the sub-zone. Adi-Tekelezan, 19 July 2011 – In line with the Government’s endeavors to expand equitable social services, the majority of the inhabitants of Adi-Tekelezan sub-zone are in a position of obtaining potable water supply, stated Mr. Teklehaimanot Musael, head of administration and finance in the sub-zone.
He pointed out that a number of water projects have already been implemented involving the installation of solar devices, electricity, wind energy and drilling. Efforts are also underway to provide potable water supply to the rest of inhabitants.
Mr. Teklehaimanot further indicated that new elementary schools are under construction in Begesa and Adi-Tekelezan semi-urban center, in addition to 23 schools in the sub-zone as a whole. Moreover, he explained that soil and water conservation activities and reforestation programs have been carried out, and that efforts are underway to create conducive ground for dairy farmers in the sub-zone to organize themselves and supply their output to the market.
Meanwhile, the Administrator of Adi-Tekelezan, Mr. Tesfai Girmai, said that a number of urban centers are mushrooming in the sub-zone as a result of the provision various service-rendering facilities.
