Ministry Of Transport And Communications Fix Tariff

The Ministry of Transport and Communications fixed tariff public transportation. Asmara, 20 July 2011 – The Ministry of Transport and Communications fixed tariff public transportation.

The Director General of Land Transport Department, Ms. Senait Lijam, said that the Ministry has been fixing tariffs in a way that encourages investors and provide fair service to beneficiaries. She further stated conducive ground has been laid to investors with the putting place of infrastructure facilities.

Mr. Tesfamariam Woldgebreal, head of development at department, pointed out that previously tariff was fixed in accordance to the vehicle and infrastructure. Reports indicated that there exist 215 lines to and fro at national level,
