Soil and water conservation activities underway in Embatkala administrative area

The inhabitants of Embatkala administrative area are carrying out soil and water conservation activities. The participants pointed out that the undertaking is aimed at preventing soil erosion and stones falling down from mountains causing damage to humans, animals and vehicles.

Ginda, 21 July 2011- The inhabitants of Embatkala administrative area are carrying out soil and water conservation activities. The participants pointed out that the undertaking is aimed at preventing soil erosion and stones falling down from mountains causing damage to humans, animals and vehicles.

Mr. Afwerki Abraha, member of the committee of the campaign, stated that the task in which about 200 workforce are taking part would cover over 40 hectares.
Embatkala is one of the 16 administrative areas in Ginda sub-zone.
